i was doing the semi-occasional room cleaning the other day and i stumbled across a little piece of our founder's past that i'm sure he'd love to share with all of you. to keep with the times and maintain web identity and all, i took the liberty of changing his name in the caption.

(not that that wasn't obvious with the mile of empty space on either side of Glitch13.)

Well, I changed the font a little bit, all due to the fact that I threw a kinda 'semi-permanent' link up in the top right corner so people who hate frames can hit the table based site (which isn't near stable yet, but still usable). Anyway, I changed the font cause it fits the other page mo' better, and besides, the other font was kinda gay looking in Windows.

I also redid the archive menu, so now its dynamic and creates links for months that have news articles in them. I'm quite proud of it, its pretty fly from back here, of course you're not going to notice anything, it'll just look like a list of links to different months to you.

As for what I've been doing today, well, I got a strange bug up my ass and I wrote a Forum system. Now, its not near complete, I still need to add shit like being able to edit you own user details and edit posts you've made, but its functional for the most part. If you see any big bugs in it, drop a comment here. I plan on adding graphic links and such to it soon, so don't scream to me that it's plain and boring looking; more features will come soon.

Also, I jacked the amount of news updates to store on the front page down to 4 or 5, I think the page was kinda 'too much' for modemers.

Here's more where that pic up there came from:
Ass For Days - Ass For Days - Ass For Days - Ass For Days - Ass For Days - Ass For Days - Ass For Days - Ass For Days

Update: Sheesh, I guess it would have been nice for me to throw you a link to forum if you're to check it out. Here ya go. Remember, you're going to have to create a user account before you can post. Oh yea, keep the poll votes coming in on the poll there, I really want to know if I should change it over.

Well, I started messing around with redesigning the site for no frames, but I'm still not sure about it. You can take a look at it here. The graphics were just something I kinda whipped up in a few minutes as a title bar, if I actually change it, I doubt I'll be that narcicistic (besides, I just wanted to know what I would look like on a tamagoochi). And remember that it won't look so cramped, seeming as I would have to bring the font size down and I couldn't change it on just that test page without making the change throughout. If you'd like to see what I'm talking about (and you're using IE), just jack your font size down a notch or two while viewing it.

Time for a lil' link'o'rama!

  • Christians reviewing QuakeIII: quoted as saying, 'I am certain the Lord would not touch this game with a forty-foot pole!'
  • Watch as lego people get down and dirty!
  • Where I will get all my news from in the future.

As a sidenote, a message to people who know me personally: I don't have a land line, I have a cell phone and a cable modem: do not call me to shoot the shit. I value all of my friends, but not enough to label some BS conversation with them @ 39 cents a minute. If you want to get together, have something to ask me, just want to touch base, that's all fine. If you're bored and are looking at spending 30 minutes on the phone with somebody, just come over. I mean I'm fucking unemployed people, its a pretty safe bet I'll just be sitting here fucking with this site. (This, of course, isn't applicable to Feasty, who no longer leaves his house [ask him why, I have no clue]).

just a little something to share here (the muse seems to be terminally ill on this end as well)...

sometimes you go following links on the net and you end up someplace you'd never have thought to even look for before. that happened tonight.
i don't know how i found this, but i did. now let it be known, usually if anyone asks me why i'm so proud of being from new orleans, i'll tell them, "because it's the birthplace of jazz." that's because i'm pretty much a compulsive liar. but now i've got a real true number one reason to be proud.

Well, all seems to be in place now. As a little useless fun candy, I added another inlcude on the side panel there (a little ways down) that will display what song I'm listening to (if any) at the moment in WinAmp. I thought it was pretty fly, no one else seems to be sharing my enthusiasm.

My muse seems to have left me presently, I just can't find any good WTFIT? material, so this is my cry for help, if you got anything collecting dust on the old harddrive that you thing would be applicable, shoot it over to me.

I also added a poll asking you peeps whether or not I should change the layout of the page, the frames are starting to wear on me. I'm wanting to do a completely table based layout that keeps the sidebars onside of it all along, but John won't come over and show me how to do that. I have figured out a way to do it by using dynamic includes, but, like every other usefull thing in VBSCRIPT, it requires you to use some fruity filesystem object or something. I had it working, on my test site, but it just feels like an inelegant solution. Well, that's enough from me for now.
