actually, getting it working in linux was one of the easiest things I've ever done. Apparently, the vendor that made the pcmcia card set it up to be recognized as a usb device. i love them. why cant everyone do this? Plug it in and tada. I had to create 3 ppp evdo config files and run a pppd command and instant internet. The only problem is that the broadband access is kinda crappy. okay it's really crappy. surfing the web is okay, downloading files... not so okay. apparently if i pay $100 more, i can get a better card with better range / reception... still debating what to do.
and regarding a fellow who asked if people are still alive and yet could not answer his phone yesterday or return a call...
I am off today (that is Monday) and tomorrow (that is Tuesday). Come to Oak Cliff.

Finally got the intraweb at the apartment. I ended up getting the verizon wireless broadband access. Woo-ha. Now to get it working in the linux.
Looking forward to you guys coming out here. We miss the nightly kitchen meetings.
Yeah, my only real social outlet these days is World of Warcraft so I don't have much to talk about here that would not incite a chorus of people call me "nerd".
In other news, Brenda and I are going to visit Jason and Reba in Cali for our birthdays (May 13-19 I believe).
I'll try to get the creative juices (along with others) flowing again and start contributing regularly.
Mad Max turned one Wednesday . Hes wild. Very good, really cool, but fucking WILD. I love it. Hes kamikaze style from the moment he opens his eyes till the second he passes out. Im glad we have the same attention span or Id be worn out. Looks like he has Christines brain and my good looks. I hear da-da and whats dat 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times a day. It rules!

Nah, it's real. (Kind of obvious now, I guess.) I think it's just taken off because usually people in Hollywood all kind of agree to not shred projects. Except with this one it seems like everyone's agreed that this is fair game so nobody gets penalized for talking a little smack.
