Thanks, I also took video of most of lakeview while driving around with my father-in-law.
It was very strange going thru metairie, where it seems people are trying to get things back in order and then into lakeview. Lakeview looks like a bomb went off, everything is gray and dead. It was like being on another planet. Very quiet with the exception of a few national guardsmen with machine guns at the banks. Got pulled over by California highway patrol; but "dad" just had to flash his NOPD badge and we were on our way again. I'll get more video when we return to clean our junk out of the house. The video I captured does much more justice to what I was seeing and feeling than the pictures. Needless to say, It tells a better story.

Well, Brenda spent about an hour or so in Lakeview yesterday. Couldn't get into the house (the doors were stuck) but got some pictures of the house and such.

You can check it out at http://www.glitch13.com/gallery

i don't know what to say about cox except that i once had them and now i don't and i don't remember the process of losing them being all that arduous.

i do know that lots of stuff is packed into boxes around here, so if any looters want to break in while li'l miss takes me to dallas they'll find things pretty conveniently packaged.

COX sux.

Can you signup for cox cable online? Yes, you can. Can you pay your bill for cox cable online? Yes, you can. Can you cancel your service or EVEN find out ANY information on HOW to cancel your service online? NO!

They have a "live chat" thingy where you can talk to a person online, but guess what? They can access your account, but once they find out you want to CANCEL it, they give you a %$@@ing tech support number to call, and we ALL know how great COX telephone support is.

So, anyone know how to cancel their account without calling these fucktards?

okay. here in jarlins. getting the apartment into a somewhat orderly state. we tried getting into lakeview today to see if we could get some kind of impression for you guys, but that shit is on lock.

so many damned pieces of plywood everywhere with spray paint indicating whether the business is open or not. this chapter is almost more surreal than the last one.

oh well. it was really good finally getting to see y'all last night. thanks for the dinner and drinkses.

And we still have those movies...going to send them back soon. It was very nice of Netflix to give me a credit (for August), even though they didn't have to. Too bad I didn't bring the portable dvd player, I couldn't get it unplugged from the tv.
Bye bye dvd player, we'll miss you; along with the rest of our stuff.
