A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

As many of you have probably noticed, the website is having a little work done on it. I finally surrendered and am leaving behind the days when you have to drag and highlight everything on the site in order to read it. Sure, sure, I was in denial about black backgrounds for a while, but I've finally awoken.

So, I downloaded the gimp the other day, and didn't really have anything to do with it at the time, so I just started throwing some shapes and colors together. Well, after a while it started taking shape, and BAM, I had sitting before me the basic design you see now. The drop shadow around the edge of the main table took quite a bit of time, considering my feeble design skills and total lack of experience with style sheets, but its there, for better or for worse. You may notice it break up a bit when the form gets long (ie, lots o comments, etc), but other than that it works for me, and after all, that's the only person its really gotta work for.

You may also notice the 'Quick Links' thing at the bottom there. A nice touch I thought, you may not think so, but then we'll just go back to the 'only gotta work for me' thing again, and I feel better already. You can suggest new links via the link below the links (that a lot o links). If you do, try to make 'em wacky, and if at all possible, non-transient.

Well, thats about it, I'm going to try to do a little more journal - type writing on here, and maybe that will keep it more fresh, and interesting enough for me to post more often.
