CALLING ALL DEVIANTS

It's been a while since I last had a "where the hell is everybody" post, so where the hell is everybody?

I know where most of you all are, but in order for everyone to not need to keep asking everybody else how or where other people are, let's all just dump it right here.

As for me I've been living la vida bore-o here in picturesque Hammond, LA. If you're wondering what Hammond looks like, picture an entire city made up of sunbaked Airline Hwy intersections, populated solely by strip malls with nothing in them and prefab sheetmetal buildings. All of which is surround by poor, trashy, rural people and trees. Tis truly a sight to behold.

I hate this place and its ilk with the heat and intensity of a thousand burning suns, and I'm probably buying a house here.

So, how are you all getting along?

Mistress Violet Vino,

Do not listen to Foo. We do not all hate you. In fact, some of us are very fond of you and wish there were more people like you. I wish you the best of luck in Chicago.

Brent and Brenda,
Brenda, when I saw you in D-naqs, I was not able to articulate what I wanted to say. I wanted to say that I am sorry for your loss. I know it has been a long time, but everyone that I know through Matt (including him & his family) have been in my thoughts. I really hope that positve things will come of this forced transplant for everyone. I myself am in Chicago, bracing for a snowy winter. From what I've seen over the last week, this seems like a cool place. It's neighborhoody. It's also very white. In my seemingly Hispanic, though on its way to being gentrified 'hood, 90% of the people on the bus are white. Anyway for those that can brave the cold I give Chi-town the thumbs up. Also I just got the Firefly series on DVD so I am excited to watch it then see the movie. To eScott-I saw Steve and Denise for some Mo's pizza when I was in town and it was so nice. I have been checking this site to make sure that that everyone is okay-and really am glad that you are! I was happy to see that you two tied the knot, and congrats! Scott, you still make me laugh over the miles! When are you and Allison going to get married? I really wish the best of luck to everyone. Another congrats to Pete, Christine, Jason & Reba and their new families!

New Orleans had character but was great because of it's smallness. It was easy for us all to get around and handle our shit. Now we're all fucking spread out thinking we're living in shithole cities. Aside from being away from most of my friends, my new city "dallas" aint too bad . It just takes too long to get around. In the big N.O. ,uptown, downtown, mid city and lakeview are all 10 minutes from each other.
If you're not living in a "Last chance for gas city" everything else takes too much time to move around.

The li'l lady and myself are in jarlins for one last week of debauchery. And by debauchery I mean packing the remainder of our stuff into boxes. Saturday we're supposed to go to a wedding that will make Pete and myself cousins through some convoluted fashion that only old southern people can bother to understand. Sunday we roll to the Big D. Dallas kind of matches the above description of Hammond, except that all the buildings have fancy facades on them. And the real estate is insanely expensive.

Also, if anyone wants some housey stuff, we're looking to get rid of some of this. Seems nobody around here is accepting donations and some of this is in good shape but not worth hauling to yet another place.
